Cacik (Turkish Cucumber Salad)

This is the Turkish version of the cucumber salad flavored with dill. The eastern countries use cilantro, as you move west they use mint and further west all the way into Europe they use dill. The salad is a great side irrespective of how it is flavored.

Recipe adapted from here

You will need
1/2 cucumber, diced fine
1 clove garlic, minced (I left it out)
1/2 cup yogurt
1/2 cup water
salt to taste
dill to garnish

Whisk together the yogurt and the water to form a creamy liquid. Add in the cucumber and salt to taste. Serve with rice or pilaf.
